Back at it.

Happy New Year! I took December off because no one needed another distraction during that insane month. Am I right?

Onto 2025. Is anyone else feeling the pressure to plan? Aurora will be in kindergarten in August and I am scheduling school tours, adding dates and deadlines to my calendar, and mildly freaking out that I don’t know where we want to send her. I have talked to so many of you about your kids’ school journeys and it’s been super helpful (THANK YOU!) The one thing I take away from every conversation is that you can always pivot if it’s not working for your family. I’m going to keep that in mind as we explore the options. Send prayers!

Other things occupying my head this year are friendships. I truly want to be a more present friend and deepen my friendships. I was thinking about this earlier this month and prayed to God about it and that very next day I went on a playdate with a new friend and there ended up being 5 other friends I knew at the very same park on that very same morning. It was wild and was definitely a God wink. He made me remember in that moment that He cares about me in such a personal way. I hope you see His hand in things this year.

Investment Leather

On an unintentional spending hiatus this month. I haven’t bought anything new since before the holidays, so I’m sharing two of my most used leather bags instead.

Classic Easy Tote

$268

Cuyana makes such beautiful leather goods. I’ve had their tote for 10 years and I still love it.

Leather Bum Bag

$130

An elevated look for a belt bag. I love that it looks a bit more polished and put together.

Shopping Tip: Buy used.

I found the belt bag for half the price on Poshmark. Buying used is a great way to save money!

Recent clean buy.

Cleansing Oil

I love this for removing makeup before hopping into the shower at night. It’s so gentle and leaves my skin feeling well-balanced.

Cookie Pie Recipe

Can’t stop. Won’t stop.

Everglades Ranch

I’ve never been a big beef eater, but I can’t stop eating all the things from Everglades Ranch. Their American Wagyu products are better than anything I’ve tasted. If you’re local, you can order online and pick up at their Vero Beach location. If you’re not local, they ship!

You can save 15% off your first order with the promo code MLH15

Glass on the go.

New New New.

First, let me be honest, you’ll typically see me toting around a Hydropeak tumbler, but when we’re out and about for a long day I’ll pack these glass water bottles as well. We rarely drink out of plastic bottles because we have an RO system in our home, so these have been a great buy for our household. So far they’ve held up well and we use them every single day.

Local Love

Hamilton U-Pick Farms

Such a fun local spot! We visited here right after Thanksgiving and the girls loved it. Currently, you can pick strawberries, bingos, and tangerines. It was not crowded at all when we went on a Friday morning, but the weekends may be busier. I love how there are so many farms, ranches and other new kid-friendly places popping up all over the Treasure Coast.

Currently Loving (kids' version)

Bed Canopy

$39

My girls were going through a phase where they wanted “tents” over their beds. We bought them for Christmas – Aurora LOVES it, Isla asked us to take hers down. Haha.

Glitter Mary Janes

$40

Both girls have these and love wearing them. I should probably invest in some no-show socks, but they’re pretty cute with regular socks too!

Super Kitties Masks

$11

Is anyone else’s kids into Super Kitties? These were a big hit with our girls. This shop also makes Bluey and Bingo masks.

Super Kitties Dresses

$17

We bought the entire collection of these because the girls are really into wearing them. The quality is great for it being from Amazon!
